in the last weekThis is my second visit to Pondicherry in recent times and my second visit to this cafe too. The first time, the prawns were so fresh, I tasted the sea with every bite. I used the photo of the Japanese type fried prawns as my cover pic too. I dreamt about it. So, this time that is what I ordered first. It was good. Good, Yes but the taste did not resonate like last time. However, the rest of the mains we ordered looked and tasted great. The TIRAMISU.. was large and lovely.Enough for two. The AC -ed interior was such a blessing. The interior was as beautiful as I remembered. And the service as slow as last time...hence one star deducted. All in all, I am poised for another visit the next time I am here.

in the last week"annoyed and rude waiter, bad food." read more to find out so! storyy time! we went in, were given a quick table despite the waiting, maybe because the property was expansive, with several small nooks for people to sit and enjoy the French architecture. but this is also when the most horrible experience started. i asked for a very very small change in food preference, while it was more a question rather than a request even, and the WAITER WAS SO ANNOYED BY ME, haven't felt so uninvited in any place but coromandel. he was outright RUDE making faces and taking deep sighs at every question about the food which is probably the most basic request one could get. Let alone the quality of the food, the cauliflower pasta was riddled with black pepper, not sprinkled, riddled. the vegal pumpkin fettuccine was SWEET! definitely don't order these, if you still decide to go because of the hollow faff going around on the internet about how good, this cafe is.
