Located on MG Road in Heritage Town, Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple is widely considered the oldest Vishnu temple in Puducherry, dating back to the 12th century CE with Dravidian architectural enhancements by the Chola and Vijayanagara dynasties. The temple is dedicated to Lord Varadaraja Perumal (a form of Vishnu) along with Goddess Perundevi Thayar. Notable features include a majestic 110-foot 5-tiered Rajagopuram, an ornate mirror room, and 83 carved stone pillars.
